Description
"Juyondai Gokujo Morohaku Junmai Daiginjo" takes the rice polishing ratio further, refining it to 45%, using two premium rice varieties—"Aiyama" and "Yamada Nishiki", both from the Special A District in Hyogo Prefecture. This sake is considered one of the finest offerings from Juyondai, and is often associated with the "Juyondai Ryūsen" red velvet box, which features a page detailing brewing information, prominently labeling it as "Daikyokujō Shiroshiro". As a result, "Gokujō Shiroshiro" is sometimes referred to as "Little Ryūsen".
It showcases a rich, fully ripe, captivating fruity aroma with notes of pineapple and citrus, and boasts a high cost-performance ratio, making it beloved by sake enthusiasts. The term "Shiroshiro" was historically used by the Japanese to refer to high-quality sake, with the "shiro" symbolizing purity and representing the refreshing flavor of sake. This term also alludes to the high-grade rice and the pale color of the polished rice, as well as the snow of the sake brewing season.
By naming this sake "Daikyokujō Shiroshiro", Juyondai designates it as a top-tier sake, with the "Little Ryūsen" becoming one of its most celebrated and high-value offerings, admired for both its refinement and accessibility.
